Welcome to WEST
Wilkes Education Scholarship Trust
Our mission
Wilkes Education Scholarship Trust (WEST) is committed to advancing the long-term life and employment opportunities for British African Caribbean heritage students, by offering scholarship grants to high potential BAC heritage students, particularly those from less well-off backgrounds seeking to undertake full time university level programmes of study.
Beneficiaries
British African Caribbean (BAC) heritage students will be the principal beneficiaries of the charity’s work. Successful applicants to WEST will receive a scholarship grant of up to £1,000 per academic year depending on university costs and available funding. Each year we aim to support up to 100 high potential BAC heritage students.

Help support us
Wilkes Education Scholarship Trust (WEST) is a registered charity and does not receive any government funding. We rely exclusively on the generosity of the public. Please help us to support Black African Caribbean students, many of whom will come from less well-off families and communities. We greatly accept all donations both from individuals and corporate entities alike. Please help support our very valuable work. If you would like to make a donation, please go to our Support Us page, or contact us at: supportus@wilkestrust.org. Thank you.
